(L.A.) Rebecca Castellanos, 7, Died in Van Nuys

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a seven-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the girl as Rebecca Castellanos.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Asphyxia Due to Neck Compression and Drowning

RIP REBECCA CASTELLANOS (May 26, 2017 – April 11, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 6:11 p.m.

The mother supposedly was found with self-inflicted wounds. She has been arrested.
