(L.A.) Terence Parker, 67, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Terence Parker.

Cause of Death: Effects of Diazepam and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 2:17 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 7, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.

This is considered an accidental drug overdose.

Diazepam, first marketed as Valium, is a medicine of the benzodiazepine family that acts as an anxiolytic. It is commonly used to treat a range of conditions, including anxiety, seizures, alcohol withdrawal syndrome, muscle spasms, insomnia, and restless legs syndrome.
