(L.A.) Tameka Whitmore, 48, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 48-year-old Black female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Tameka Whitmore.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Effects

Other Significant Condition: Congestive Heart Failure

RIP TAMEKA WHITMORE (November 19, 1975 – July 29, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:15 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 24, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
