(L.A.) Sulmy Lopez, 16, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 16-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the teenage girl as Sulmy Lopez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

RIP SULMY MERARY LOPEZ (January 9, 2009 – October 5, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday night.

The decedent was hit by a car in the 800 block of West Duarte Road in Monrovia.

Her family intends to have her body repatriated to their home country of Guatemala.
