(L.A.) Sukhjeet Sandhu, 22, Died in a Hotel

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 22-year-old male that occurred in a hotel.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sukhjeet Sandhu.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Codeine, Morphine and Ethanol

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 7:58 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 4, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

Despite the federal requirement to log race/ethnicity for data disaggregation purposes, the coroner-investigator left the field blank for the decedent. His name appears to be South Asian / Desi, likely Indian.
