Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steven Gilbertson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Toxicity

RIP STEVEN GILBERTSON (October 11, 1980 – May 3, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 5:02 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 28, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.
