Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 64-year-old Caucasian male that occurred in a walkway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steven Garfield.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Sudden Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Arteriosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Tobacco Use, Chronic Ethanol Use

RIP STEVEN GARFIELD (March 14, 1957 – May 1, 2021)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 7:32 p.m.

The decedent was found dead in a planter in the walkway of the apartment complex where he was living.
