Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 58-year-old Asian male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steve Yi.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Head

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 9:31 a.m.

The decedent’s surname appears to be Korean. Yi is a Korean variation on the surname Lee.

There is still no confirmation that this case is related to the death of a female Korean named Jin Yi, which also occurred on the same day.
