The coroner’s office has identified the man as Steve Sumlin.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Chronic Ethanol Use

Other Significant Condition: Hypertension

RIP STEVE SUMLIN (May 8, 1974 – July 7, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 11:23 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 17.

The decedent appears to have been an alcoholic.
