Stephen Miller’s Yearbook Quote
Why could be the reason Stephen Miller is trending in America this Columbus Day morning…
Could it be because of his high-school yearbook, in which the following quote was found?
“There is room here for only 100 percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”
The quote is inspired by several made by President Theodore Roosevelt in the early 20th century.
In voicing his approval of the recent proclamation by Gov. Harding, ordering that English be the only medium of instruction in public or private schools in Iowa, Col. Roosevelt said:
“This is a nation — not a polyglot boarding house. There is not room in the country for any 50-50 American, nor can there be but one loyalty — to the Stars and Stripes.”
The buzz around Stephen Miller is because of what is considered his “tough” stance on immigrationm; and today is Columbus Day or Indigenous People’s Day, which is relevant to immigration issues. (And the Gray Lady published a profile today.)
Stephen Miller is currently President Donald Trump’s senior advisor for policy. He was previously the communications director for then-Alabama senator, Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
