Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 49-year-old Hispanic female that occurred in a hospital.
The coroner’s office identified the woman as Stephanie Diaz.

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday.
Upland Police in San Bernardino County stated the shooting happened on August 22, Friday, in the 91786 zip code. The decedent was shot by her husband, 51-year-old Edward Becerra, who then killed himself on the spot.
It was a murder-suicide.
On Friday, just before 8pm, officers responded to a residence in Upland for an unknown trouble call.
Officers discovered a husband and wife lying next to each other with gunshot wounds.
The male was determined to be deceased. The female victim was still fighting for her life and was rushed to a trauma center [in L.A. County] where she was placed on life support.
It was learned the two were going through a separation and the female victim came to the residence to gather some belongings. During this encounter, she was shot by her estranged husband, who then turned the weapon on himself.
