Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 56-year-old Latino male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Richard Serrano.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Multisystem Organ Failure

Cause of Death B: Acetaminophen Intoxication

Cause of Death C: Alcohol-Related Liver Disease (Alcoholic Cirrhosis)

Other Significant Conditions: Morbid Obesity, Hypertension, History of Alcohol Abuse

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at around 2:30 a.m.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
