RIP SPRING MARIE LOBO WINTERS (March 31, 1987 – November 12, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:26 a.m.

Redondo Beach PD responded to a vehicle crash at the intersection of Lilienthal and Alvord lanes, west of Hawthorne Boulevard and north of 190th Street, at around 9:35 a.m.

Officers found the female driver had died at the scene from her injuries and her male passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Police arrested Jacob Jordan Nimz, 34, of North Dakota, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

There was an allegation that Nimz was involved in a physical altercation in the car before the crash. That was the reason he was arrested on the assault charge.
