Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 27-year-old Latino male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sixto Hipolito Nunez.

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

The decedent was performing a wheelie when he smashed into a tree.

A wheelie is a vehicle stunt in which the front wheel is lifted off the ground while the vehicle is balanced and ridden on its rear wheel.

Gardena PD responded at around 5:50 p.m. to Marine Avenue near the Harbor (110) Freeway.
