Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old Caucasian male that occurred at a residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Simon Monjack.
Manner of Death: Natural
Cause of Death: Community-Acquired Acute Bronchopneumonia
Other Significant Condition: Cardiomegaly with Focal Myocardial Fibrosis

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:45 p.m.
The decedent was the husband of actress Brittany Murphy, who had just died on December 20, 2009.
There was much speculation over the fact that the married couple had died within months of each other from nominally the same cause of death — pneumonia. One theory was that the house they lived in could have been infested with mold, although one expert in the media said there was no mold spores found in Murphy’s lungs.
