(L.A.) Sidney Mosby, 67, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Sidney Mosby.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease

Other Significant Conditions: End-Stage Renal Disease on Dialysis, Diabetes Mellitus, and Hyperlipidemia

RIP SIDNEY MOSBY (September 16, 1957 – June 16, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday.

The decedent was in a car accident at around 3:30 a.m. on the northbound 405 Freeway just south of Getty Center Drive.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on August 9, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
