(L.A.) Shaka Stiner, 47, Died on a Sidewalk

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 47-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Shaka Stiner.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Jackson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl and Methamphetamine Toxicity

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:28 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 1, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.

The birth year has been corrected by the government clerk from 1967 to 1976.
