A 22-year-old man named Christian David Juisti has been charged with aggravated assault and several other offenses after allegedly inflicting a brutal beating on his girlfriend. According to the affidavit, the victim suffered a broken nose, bruising, lacerations, and emotional trauma. The assault involved choking, hitting, stabbing, and attempted drowning.

On the morning of May 22, police responded to a call from a woman on Cloverdale Avenue who was yelling for help. Upon arrival, they found the victim bleeding profusely from her face. She identified Juisti as her boyfriend and the perpetrator of the attack. The woman told officers that Juisti had punched her repeatedly, strangled her, and struck her with a piece of a broken door.

The victim recounted that the assault began after Juisti and another man returned from a bar. Juisti confronted her about perceived indiscretions, leading to a physical altercation that continued both outside and inside the apartment. The beating lasted at least 20 minutes, during which Juisti allegedly used a piece of a broken door and a knife to attack her. He also choked her multiple times, held her face under water in the bathtub, and kicked her. The victim managed to escape to a neighbor’s house for help.

Police later found Juisti driving a white Fiat and arrested him. During the arrest, officers discovered small bags of white powder in his possession, which tested positive for cocaine. The victim was treated at Delaware County Memorial Hospital for her injuries, including a broken and lacerated nose.
