(L.A.) Donovan Carranza, 26, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 26-year-old Latino male that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Donovan Carranza.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl, Cocaine, Ethanol

RIP DONOVAN CARRANZA (July 14, 1998 – February 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 8:42 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on April 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab. This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
