Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 37-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in jail.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Samuel Haskell. Born in L.A. County.
Manner of Death: Suicide
Cause of Death: Incised Wounds to Bilateral Upper Extremities
RIP SAMUEL BOND HASKELL (April 3, 1988 – July 12, 2025)
Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.
The decedent was believed to have killed and dismembered his wife and her parents in November 2023.
He was found dead inside his cell at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown L.A. This was LASD’s 26th in-custody death for the year.
