(L.A.) Samantha Mensah, 28, Ended Her Life

Case Number: 2023-02104

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Black female that occurred at a private residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Samantha Mensah.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Carbon Monoxide Toxicity

RIP SAMANTHA MENSAH (September 18, 1994 – February 22, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 4:23 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 28/29, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.

The decedent was an American chemist of Dominican and Ghanaian heritage who self-identified as Black, Latina, and LGBT. She was a PhD candidate in materials chemistry at UCLA.

That the decedent was a graduate student researcher at UCLA suggests that she had indeed received injections of synthetic mRNA.
