(L.A.) Samantha Diaz, 25, Died in Hawthorne

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 25-year-old Hispanic female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office identified the young woman as Samantha Diaz.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Sharp-Force Injuries

Other Significant Condition: Effects of Methamphetamine

RIP SAMANTHA DIAZ (August 20, 1988 – December 6, 2013)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:00 a.m.

A family member living nearby discovered the decedent’s body at her apartment in the 11900 block of Grevillea Avenue.

This was initially reported as a stabbing homicide by mainstream news outlets, but the Department of Medical Examiner determined it otherwise.

The decedent was basically high on meth when she decided to stab herself.
