(L.A.) Romeo Arshakyan, 61, Died at a Freeway Embankment

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred at a freeway embankment.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Romeo Arshakyan of Glendale.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday afternoon.

Incident location was State Route 14 North at the Newhall Avenue off-ramp.

California Highway Patrol received a call at 12:54 p.m. about a white Chevrolet Express van overturned on the right shoulder of the off-ramp.

Officers requested closure of the Newhall Avenue off-ramp and a Caltrans hard closure. By 1:52 p.m., a fatality was confirmed.
