Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Marcus.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Laennec Cirrhosis

RIP ROBERT MARCUS (July 7, 1963 – January 2, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 8:55 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 14.

Laënnec cirrhosis is primarily caused by excessive and chronic alcohol consumption.
