(L.A.) Robert Gibson, 63, Died in a Vacant Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Black male that occurred in a vacant lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Gibson.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Acute Ethanol Intoxication

RIP ROBERT GIBSON (May 3, 1961 – April 13, 2025)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 1:28 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on June 3.

This was a case of acute alcohol poisoning. The decedent drank too much over a short period of time.

Alcohol deaths can be classified as accidents under the assumption that the sots didn’t intend to kill themselves.
