Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a yard in Hacienda Heights.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Robert Boozer of St. George, Utah. Born in Orange County. Mother’s maiden name is Musella.
Manner of Death: Homicide
Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of Torso

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:53 a.m.
The decedent was shot and killed by sheriff’s deputies after he had just stabbed his own father to death.
The shooting happened at around 5:30 a.m. in the 16700 block of Dawn Haven Road.
Deputies had been dispatched to the scene to deal with what was called in as a family disturbance.
At some point after their arrival, deputies opened fire on the assault suspect.
