Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 45-year-old male of Latin American ethnicity that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Rene Torres.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP RENE TORRES (September 22, 1977 – February 6, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 8:35 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 7, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.
