Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 67-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Rene Serrano.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death: Sequelae of Intravenous Drug Use

RIP RENE SERRANO (September 1, 1956 – February 8, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:24 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 15.

Note that this was classified as a natural death and not an accidental overdose.
