(L.A.) Raymond Charles, 60, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Raymond Charles.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Condition: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP RAYMOND CHARLES (December 29, 1963 – September 1, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 9:14 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in mid-December, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, drug overdose.
