Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 63-year-old Latino male that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Raul Mercado.

Manner of Death: Natural

Cause of Death A: Acute Cardiac Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease

RIP RAUL MERCADO (May 7, 1969 – December 17, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:36 a.m.

The government investigator had initially given the decedent’s birth year as 1969 and the age as 55.
