(L.A.) Raul Flores De La Torre, 51, Died From Substance Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 51-year-old Latino male that occurred in a vehicle.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Raul Flores De La Torre.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Effects of Methamphetamine

Other Significant Conditions: History of Congestive Heart Failure and Chronic Alcohol and Tobacco Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 1:44 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on December 11, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back from the lab.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
