Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Ramon Melendez Jr.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Toxicity

RIP RAMON MELENDEZ JR. (August 1, 1979 – September 23, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 9:39 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on May 2, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
