(L.A.) Rachelle LeSieur, 40, Died From Meth

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 40-year-old White/Caucasian female.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Rachelle Lesieur.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Coronary Artery Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Effects of Methamphetamine, Liver Cirrhosis, History of Chronic Alcohol Use

RIP RACHELLE LESIEUR (August 28, 1983 – January 12, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Friday at 11:29 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 18, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental overdose.

People who use meth face a 32% overall increased risk for cardiovascular disease, with especially high risks for heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. The higher risks echo those associated with alcohol abuse and cocaine use.
