(L.A.) Phillip Patatanyan, 34, Died From Drug Abuse

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 34-year-old male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Phillip Patatanyan.

Born in L.A. County. Mother’s maiden name is Tsaturyan.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Fluorofentanyl

Other Significant Condition: Recent Heroin Use

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 3:34 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

The decedent had multiple arrests in California, including for prostitution in 2012 and narcotics in 2015. He was of Armenian descent, from the Glendale area.
