Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 30-year-old Black male that occurred on a sidewalk.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Phillip Kellam.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Fentanyl Intoxication

RIP PHILLIP KELLAM (August 13, 1993 – January 18, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 11:28 a.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on March 7, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
