(L.A.) Paul Baez Rodriguez, 42, Died at a Bar & Restaurant

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 42-year-old Latino male that occurred at a bar / restaurant.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Paul Baez Rodriguez.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Acute Myocardial Dysfunction

Cause of Death B: Atherosclerotic Coronary Heart Disease

Other Significant Conditions: Cocaine Effects; Hypertension; Diabetes Mellitus

RIP PAUL BAEZ RODRIGUEZ (August 5, 1982 – August 24, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday at 11:35 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 8, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.

This is considered an accidental, i.e., unintentional, overdose.
