Formal pronouncement of death was made on Wednesday at 6:27 a.m.
The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling on October 1, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back negative for substances.
An incarcerated ventral hernia occurs when an organ, usually part of the intestine, pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall and gets trapped. This situation can lead to serious complications, such as acute peritonitis, which is an infection of the lining of the abdomen. When the trapped organ loses its blood supply, it can become damaged and release bacteria into the abdominal cavity. If this happens, the infection can spread rapidly and become life-threatening.
In the context above, “ventral” refers to the front or anterior part of the body, specifically the abdomen. A ventral hernia occurs when tissue, often from the intestine, protrudes through a weak spot in the abdominal wall at the front of the body. I
