(L.A.) Patricia Alatorre, 13, Found Dead in a Parking Lot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 13-year-old Hispannic female that occurred in a parking lot.

The coroner’s office identified the girl as Patricia Alatorre of Bakersfield, California.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Homicidal Violence including Asphyxia

RIP PATRICIA ALATORRE (May 14, 2007 – July 2, 2020)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Thursday at 9:15 p.m.

The decedent’s body was found wrapped in a red sleeping bag behind a large construction vehicle at 11814 Aviation Boulevard, Inglewood, California 90304.

She had been raped by a man in his 20s whom she had met on social media.

Her family initially reported her as a runaway, but a neighbor’s Ring camera captured her entering a white pickup on the evening of July 1, 2020.

In 2022, Armando Cruz pleaded guilty to the rape and murder.
