(L.A.) Parker Andrews, 24, Died in a Hospital

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 24-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Parker Andrews.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl, Diphenhydramine, Alprazolam, Sertraline, and Valproic Acid

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity, Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy, and Medical History of Idiopathic Epilepsy and Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 10:17 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on October 17, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs.

Sertraline, sold under the brand name Zoloft among others, is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class.

Valproic acid is primarily used to treat epilepsy.
