Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 43-year-old Asian male that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Pao Yu.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine and Alprazolam Toxicity

RIP PAO YU (October 26, 1979 – July 10, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 12:40 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on September 30, presumably after the results of tox screening came back positive for the drugs. This was an accidental overdose.
