(L.A.) Pamela Gwinn, 44, Died at a Residence

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Caucasian female that occurred at a residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Pamela Gwinn.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death A: Chronic Heart Failure

Cause of Death B: Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM)

Cause of Death C: Hypertension

Other Significant Conditions: Obesity (BMI= 37.1), Combined Effects of Heroin and Methamphetamine

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m.

Drug deaths are frequently classified as accidents under the assumption that the users didn’t intend to kill themselves. If drugs hadn’t been a factor in this case, it would have been ruled as a natural death, instead of an accident.
