Case Number: 2024-08202

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Nicole Cabral.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

RIP NICOLE CABRAL (September 29, 1987 – May 20, 2024)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 3:25 p.m.

The Department of Medical Examiner publicly disclosed the CoD ruling in September, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drugs.

Fentanyl is a depressant while meth is a stimulant. Combining them can create unpredictable effects on the body and mind.

The stimulant effects of meth might mask the sedative effects of fentanyl, potentially leading to unintentional overdose on fentanyl due to reduced awareness of its effects.

Combining fentanyl and meth exacerbates cardiovascular and respiratory issues and leads to severe mental and physical health problems, including death.
