Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 32-year-old Black female that occurred at a residence.
The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Nichole Coats.
STATUS: The decedent’s body has been released. Ruling by the deputy medical examiner is deferred pending additional investigation.
Manner and cause of death will be added to this page when it becomes available.
If the DME has ordered toxicological screening, the next public update may take three to seven months.

The decedent was found dead inside her apartment in the 700 block of Grand Avenue in downtown L.A.
