(L.A.) Nicholas Temkey, 55, Died in a Drainage Ditch

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old White/Caucasian male that occurred in a drainage ditch.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Nicholas Temkey. Height: 6 feet 4 inches. Weight: 217 pounds

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 3:01 a.m.

The decedent was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Artesia (91) Freeway in Cerritos.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway at Bloomfield Avenue, where a white Audi SUV crashed into the right shoulder embankment.

The decedent was a registered sex offender whose home address on the state registry was listed as “transient” in Santa Ana, California. He had been arrested in August 1999 when he was 31 years old on charges of rape by force. At the time, he was the manager of a bar in Hermosa Beach and he was accused of raping two customers in separate incidents.
