(L.A.) Myrna Jones, 70, Died From Cocaine Use

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 70-year-old Black female that occurred at her residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Myrna Jones.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Cocaine Effects

Other Significant Conditions: Hypertension; Diabetes Mellitus; Hyperlipidemia

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:57 p.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published in late February, presumably after the results of tox screening had come back positive for the drug.
