(L.A.) Muoi Ong, 65, Died on a Street

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 65-year-old female of Asian ethnicity that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the woman as Muoi Ong.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Blunt Trauma

RIP MUOI ONG (November 8, 1957 – March 17, 2023)

The decedent’s name appears to be Vietnamese.

She was a victim of a hit-and-run in Highland Park. She died on the scene after being struck by a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The crash occurred at around 8:30 a.m. in the 5600 block of Aldama Street. The decedent lived on the street and was known to go on daily walks.

The speeding driver did not stop to help. A reward of up to $50,000 is being offered for information leading to the driver’s identification, apprehension and conviction.
