(L.A.) Moses Jimenez, 28, Died on the 5 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 28-year-old Latino male that occurred on the 5 Freeway.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Moses Jimenez of North Hills.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made early Sunday morning.

The decedent was fatally injured in a vehicular crash on Interstate 5 North at the Los Feliz Blvd off-ramp.

California Highway Patrol first heard about the accident at 3:18 a.m. It was on the northbound I-5 near Los Feliz Boulevard, just south of Colorado Blvd and Griffith Park.

Multiple vehicles — around four or six — were involved in the collision, including a white sedan and several dark-colored vehicles.

At least one vehicle rolled over and ended up blocking multiple lanes.

LAFD said only one person was determined dead on scene after being ejected from a vehicle.

Five other patients in fair to serious condition were transported by ambulances to local hospitals.
