(L.A.) Modesto Nevarez, 61, Ended His Life

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 61-year-old Hispanic male that occurred in a hospital.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Modesto Nevarez.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Mirtazamine [sic] and Other Medications Overdose

Other Significant Condition: Hypertensive Heart Disease

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 1:57 p.m.

Mirtazapine is used to treat depression. It supposedly improves mood and feelings of well-being.
