Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 60-year-old male that occurred at a hotel.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Mischa Smith and listed his race/ethnicity as Hispanic + Black.

Manner of Death: Suicide

Cause of Death: Multiple Blunt-Force Traumatic Injuries

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Saturday.

Six suicides have already been confirmed for this year’s Valentine’s Day—all men—ages 42, 44, 56, 57, 60, and 60. Last year, and in 2024, there was only one each.
