(L.A.) Miguel Garcia, 31, Died on the 10 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Hispanic/Latin American male that occurred on a freeway.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Miguel Garcia.

Cause of Death: Blunt Force Trauma

RIP MIGUEL ARMANDO GARCIA (July 12, 1990 – February 6, 2022)

The decedent was killed while standing outside his disabled vehicle on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway. Garcia died instantly and his vehicle was pushed into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. The motorist in the SUV suffered no injuries. His passenger, a 48-year-old man, was taken to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The driver who allegedly struck Garcia has been arrested. Thirty-one-year-old Moises Rivera Luna of Rosemead was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving for allegedly slamming his 2016 Ford Mustang into Garcia’s disabled vehicle and killing him about 3:40 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway west of Walnut Grove Avenue.

Note that there multiple people named “Miguel Garcia” who have died in L.A. County over the years.
