(L.A.) Miguel Garcia, 31, Died on the 10 Freeway

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 31-year-old Hispanic/Latin American male that occurred on a freeway.
The coroner’s office has identified the man as Miguel Garcia, resident of East 112th Street in the 90059.

Cause of Death: Blunt-Force Trauma

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 4:00 a.m.
The decedent was fatally injured while standing outside his disabled vehicle on the San Bernardino (10) Freeway. Garcia died instantly and his vehicle was pushed into the path of a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. The motorist in the SUV suffered no injuries. His passenger, a 48-year-old man, was taken to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The driver who allegedly hit Garcia has been arrested. Thirty-one-year-old Moises Rivera Luna of Rosemead was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving for slamming his 2016 Ford Mustang into Garcia’s disabled vehicle and killing him about 3:40 a.m. Sunday on the eastbound San Bernardino Freeway west of Walnut Grove Avenue.
Note that there multiple individuals named “Miguel Garcia” who have died in L.A. County over the years.
